Frequently asked questions

Everything about how Nutri Grader tests and scores supplement and nutrition tools.

How do you grade a supplement?
We read the label, check which ingredients have peer-reviewed support at the dose actually used, and verify third-party testing. Each product is then rated 1 to 5 on ease of use, features, value for money, and support, and the overall grade is the average of those four on a 10-point scale.
Do you personally take every supplement you grade?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. These grades come from labels, published research, and third-party test results - not from anecdotes about how a pill made one person feel.
What do the four score pillars mean?
Ease of use is the dose format and how many servings a day it demands. Features is the formula itself - which ingredients, at what doses, and what the evidence supports. Value is cost per effective serving rather than price per bottle. Support covers third-party testing, label accuracy, and how openly the brand answers questions.
Is anything on this site medical advice?
No. Nothing here is medical advice, and we are not doctors. Supplements can interact with medications and existing conditions - run any change past a healthcare professional who knows your history.
Are your grades independent, or do brands pay for better ones?
Independent. Affiliate commissions fund the research time and nothing else. No brand has seen a grade before publication, and low grades stay published.
Do you earn money from the links on this site?
Yes - some links are affiliate links and may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. The disclosure page has the full explanation.
Can I suggest a supplement for you to grade?
Yes. Send it through the contact page, ideally with a link to the label, and we will take a look.
